Handmade ceramics will have natural variations in the glaze, surface and colour which is part if each products unique charm. Each piece has unique veining, pitting, surface textures including pits and flakes to ceramic surface which may be glazed over. This is not considered a fault to the product and is part of the natural hand finished process unique to each bowl.
